Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is writer of a number of popular American cookbooks on cooking. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which is on since 2002. Ina began her writing career by creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets to the White House. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual challenge of her job, but quickly began to lose enthusiasm. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular before selling it off and picking up the pen to write her first cookbook. A number of other books and magazines followed. Meanwhile the Food Network show was also a success. Her range of items spans from appliances for kitchens to ingredient as well as storage containers. Ina did not go to a cooking institute and hasn't been employed in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is associated with her casual way of creating and entertaining. She is well-known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese with Beef Bourguignon and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts.
