Silk was born Fredericton in New Brunswick Canada. She was born to Peter Silk, who was a professor and Ilkay who was a playwright as well as director, who also became famous for her acting. Anna is a part of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals of plays. Silk appeared as a little girl in a variety of commercials. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. The early stage work she did involves at minimum two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999, in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles during the next decade. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she discovered in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop in 2007. When they got engaged in 2008, the couple got married in the year 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on 10 April 2011, following her conversion to Judaism they renewed vows during a Jewish celebration of their wedding.
